Third-cycle EducationDescription
The course deals with issues concerning the structure and content of the scientific article, principles for effective academic writing, the publishing process and editorial work of scientific journals. Scientific writing requires both factual knowledge (propositional or declarative knowledge) and practical skills ("know-how", procedural knowledge). Great emphasis is therefore placed not only on the “theory” of writing, but also on the actual craft of writing scientific texts, e.g. through concrete writing exercises in workshops and communication of hands-on advice, as well as discussions based on the participants' perceived writing challenges.
To participate you must first complete the Scientific Communication and Information Retrieval (SCAIR) course or the FORSS course.
The course will be held weeks 36-49 2024.
Registration open until 15th April.
